Best quality and reasonably priced way to create 25 photo calendars for marketing purposes?

Question: Best quality and reasonably priced way to create 25 photo calendars for marketing purposes?

(Posted by: holacarinados on 2008-03-08 09:00:54)

I am finishing up a History of Photography photo calendar for 2009 that includes my own photos for each month, cover photo, and instead of the usual holidays (Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc), am including famous dates in photographic history (i.e., first dagguerotype, first polaroid picture, first SLR, etc. I create and then print about 25 copies of them as marketing tools to show perspective publishers. What would be an easy, good quality program to use. There's dozens of websites and dozens of software programs, and each one claims to be the best and cheapest. Any suggestions for software or online service for what I'm trying to do? Or would it be easier to just print up one, and go to a local printer? Thanks. I mean I want to CREATE and then PRINT... I am trying to find either a stand alone software program upon which I can layout the basic calendar, print it out on my own epson printer, then have a professional printer do a batch of 25 from the original, or find an online service like that has calendar templates that you compose while you are online, then have them print out 25 bound copies- - .

After reading your Q I don't understand whether you are trying to find an online printer or a design program, or both - please clarify.

Hi! Having specialized in very high-end full color graphic design and printing for a number of years, a run of only 25 calendars printed by a full color printing company is not enough quantity to make it cost effective for you. For a prototype, your best solution would be to use your Epson printer to print out your photos and calendar pages. Here is a link to where you may purchase a Publishing Grade 2009 Calendar Template, which you also may customize to your own preferences if so desired. It is currently on sale, which is an added plus (See notes on this page regarding downloading a trial version of the software program)! This template is used in Adobe programs—Photoshop or InDesign, which are the programs of choice for professional designers. It will also be a format that will be perfect for an eventual large quantity run of your calendars should your marketing from your prototypes be successful. candidphotostore.com/ 20phcate3.html I have personally designed original calendars from "scratch " so to speak, and I can testify that it is a lot of work—very tedious and very time consuming. Therefore, if you can purchase a template that you are able to work with (or even have a designer work with in customizing for you) it is to your advantage. Thanks for asking this question. Best wishes!
